Welcome to the Hot Mess Express

Guess who's back, back again..

Now that Camille is getting older, I'm finally getting a little more free time.. so of course I wanted to post a little update on here. I've missed being able to just sit down and write, so I definitely need to get on a better schedule. I've got my coffee and about half an hour to myself, so let's catch up a bit.

Life as a wife and mother of two, I feel like it is pretty easy to lose myself in those roles. I need to remember that I'm still my own person and need to do things for me every now and then. I'm not saying to run away from home and join the circus, but I can do little things for me here and there. Blogging is one of them - I've always been in love with writing and it honestly helps me to relax. I've enjoyed writing as long as I can remember, whether I was writing short stories or poetry. I even tried to write my own autobiography one year in college. It was terrible, but it helped me get through a rough time in my life.. so I would say it was worth it.

Speaking of my two little ones, adjusting to my new life has been crazy! I absolutely love it and my heart is so full, but I completely forgot how much goes into taking care of a baby.. and how little you can get done with one. Add in a preschooler to the mix - I don't know how I ever complained about being tired before having two children. Instead of getting excited to go out with friends, I'm getting excited for naps and showers. Welcome to the Hot Mess Express! I seriously live in the land of dry shampoo, under eye concealer, and venti iced coffees.

I wouldn't have it any other way. Life is definitely different, that's for sure, but it's a good different. Different things make me happy, different things are important. I like different. Once I work out my schedule with Marin's schedule and Camille's schedule, I think things will be a lot easier though. Hopefully more blogging and vlogging in my future! With holidays and so much fun stuff coming up in our lives, I can't wait to share it with loved ones.. and you!
