Spring Break Bust!

4.06.2010

So it is day 2 of my spring break and I'm at home. Yay.. At least I've been able to sleep in, which is nice. This definitely isn't as fun as my spring break last year, which was when I was in Huntington Beach and Disneyland like the whole time. Gotta love Southern California.

Because it is my spring break, the next big thing for me will be summer. I love summer. So, what better way to prepare for summer than to create a little checklist of things that you should look into in order to have an AMAZING summer.

1) Colorful Swimsuits

I love bright colors. Target just came out with a ton of new swimsuits, which are all cute and affordable. I just bought a bikini there and it's red, yellow, and green. SCORE! Definitely check it out.

2) Tanning lotion

So if you are like me, you love to be dark during the summer. If you use a tanning bed, I have two lotions for you to try. One is Smile! You're Dark! and the other is Beyond Black. I know they came out with a new Smile! You're Dark! which is called Smile! You're Darker! but I haven't tanned in a while so I haven't had the chance to try it. If you simply lay out to tan, I would recommend Banana Boat Tanning Oil, which you can get with a variety of protection, depending on the tan you are going for. I loveee how this tanning oil smells and you can get it pretty much anywhere, but I got mine at Wal-Mart.

3) A Good Book

I love to read, so I always carry around a book. You never know when you might have extra time to kill or you might get bored, which is why you should make it a habit to keep a book with you :) I would suggest the Private series if you like Gossip Girl or the House of Night series for all of you vampire lovers.

4) A Trusty Pair of Sunglasses

Who doesn't love stunner shades? I just bought a new pair of Juicy sunglasses when I was in Beverly Hills. These are definitely going to be my shades of the summer. You don't have to spend $200 for that pair that you will be wearing the whole season though.. I bought these super cute sunglasses at Rue21 for under $10, which you can see below. Sickkk, right?

5) Lip Balm

Because summer can't be perfect. It has this way of burning our skin and drying out our hair and making our lips dry as well. So it is always good to carry some sort of lip balm. I recommend Whip Stick from Lush. Smells good and is one of the more affordable items at the store. However, if you don't want to spend your money at Lush, I also adoreee Softlips in Vanilla and Cherry, which you can buy pretty much anywhere. I've gotten them at Save Mart, Wal-Mart, and Target.

And that's all for now. Gotta get dressed and head out.. because I never get to just sit at home! Video will probably posted a little later today so look out for it, or just check my twitter because I usually post the link to my new videos on there :)

XOXO,
Brittany Nicole
