Our family was long overdue for a vacation, so we decided what better place to spend our summer than Great Wolf Lodge in Anaheim. With their brand new Summer Camp-In celebration, it combined everything we love - camping, waterslides, and hotel life (that one is mommy's favorite)! While we went when the weather was beautiful, I love that the Great Wolf Lodge summer camp-in experience is WEATHERPROOF.
These girls were so excited for our adventure that they didn't even want to sleep. On the night we arrived, we walked in to see that the resort was fully decorated with the summer camp theme in mind. Checking in was a breeze and I love that they give each guest a pair of wolf ears! While the girls were sleeping, I checked out the schedule of events for the next day. From pool parties to campfire ceremonies, the Summer Camp-In event was jam-packed with activities!
The food was absolutely delicious! The character breakfast was definitely one of the best parts for my girls. They loved getting to meet the characters that represent Great Wolf Lodge. Wiley the Wolf and his friends visited every table, taking pictures with all of the kids. The buffet was perfect and a nap was 100% needed after all of the waffles, cinnamon rolls, and bacon that we ate! I wish I would have taken a picture of the BBQ that we had for lunch, but I honestly started digging into my plate as soon as they put it on the table.
As a girl who loves her Cherry Coke, I love that Coca-Cola® products were so easy to find at Great Wolf Lodge. I didn't have to worry about what drink I was going to order at lunch or dinner because I knew that my favorites were there! When we were enjoying the waterslides, I found this Coca-Cola display and fell in love! Something about it just felt like the perfect "classic summertime" setting and I am so here for it.
There are so many fun activities going on during the Summer Camp-In celebration, but there is still so much more to do at Great Wolf Lodge. They have a huge arcade, a bowling alley, miniature golf, and so much more. They even have a Build-A-Bear Workshop that offers the same characters that our little ones met at breakfast! Marin was so excited to bring home her very own Violet. MagiQuest was another family favorite, which is Great Wolf Lodge's exclusive interactive adventure game involving mystical wands. These were seriously the coolest, we were running around the entire resort with them!
When it was time to relax and get ready for bed, families gathered by the fire. Wiley the Wolf and friends put on a fabulous show, full of fun stories and songs. If you have ever been to summer camp, this would bring back the best of memories. I loved being able to sit back and watch my children as they experienced this, something that I think they will remember for years to come. Once the stories were over, it was time for one last delicious treat..
S'MORES!!! The special s'mores dessert bar did not disappoint! Great Wolf Lodge's master s'moreliers paired a variety of marshmallow flavors with different toppings for the ultimate s'mores experience. My little ones loved their creations, while I opted for the classic s'more and I had to stop myself from eating them all! After dessert, we went back up to the room and cozied up. We were even able to set up bedtime stories, which was super cute and the girls loved every second.
Our family had a magical time at Great Wolf Lodge. Their Summer Camp-In celebration was something that we loved being able to experience as a family. If you're looking for something more than your average waterpark, we highly recommend Great Wolf Lodge! We left the resort with smiles on our faces and glitter tattoos on our arms (except for Camille, her tattoo was on her leg).
